New Coach - Ted Eck
      The Ogden Outlaws have Named Ted Eck as the new Head Coach. Ted will be working with Mike Hickman who will continue to work as an Assistant Coach. Coach Hickman commented "Ted is bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Outlaws that will greatly benefit the young men on the roster. That experience will make us a
better team." Mike also acknowledged Eck’s new role as Director of Coaching of the Outlaw F.C. Youth Club. Coach Hickman further stated "Having played professionally, he (Eck) knows what it takes to play at the next level which will only enhance their chances of reaching their goals and dreams of playing in the professional ranks. He will also be a great addition to the soccer community as he works with the young kids in the area." Eck currently holds a USSF "A" Coaching license.
     Ted has been working as the Director of Coaching with Maui United and as the Vice President of the Maui Youth Soccer League. He is a Hall of Fame member of Western Illinois University. He played professionally for 13 years, including 13 Caps ( international appearances) with the US Men’s National team. He scored a goal with the National Team on July 28, 1990 in a 2-1 win over East Germany.
     A brief review of his resume includes: 2 Years in Canada (the Ottawa
Intrepid and the Toronto Blizzard). In 1989 while at Ottawa, received the league’s Golden Boot, scoring 21 goals in 26 appearances, 1992-94 with Colorado Foxes (now USL First Division) - played in 3 Championship Games, winning 2. While with the Foxes he was also honored as an All-League selection three times. Selected third overall in the inaugural MLS draft by the Dallas Burn, and he played six seasons with 170 appearances and 12 goals. Three-time US Open Cup champion with San Jose Oaks in 1992, CD Mexico (Fresno, CA) in 1993 and Dallas Burn in 1997 The Outlaws welcome Ted, and look forward to working with him.
