Dear Mike:

On behalf of Real Salt Lake, it is with great pleasure that I forward to you this
endorsement of the Ogden Outlaws at the outset of your inaugural season. We are
pleased to hear of your plans and we are optimistic that you will be received as warmly in
your first year as we have been.

From our standpoint, the Outlaws symbolize the continued growth of soccer in Utah.
Your dedication in providing a place for top-level NCAA and other local players to
compete in the PDL will be a great asset to our soccer landscape. Both RSL and your
PDL brethren, the BYU Cougars, are successful due to the great support we receive from
this rich soccer community. We wish you the same success.

We also believe that the Outlaws will be an ideal destination for young players with MLS
aspirations. We look forward to at least one game annually against the Outlaws, and to
inviting some of your players to attend and/or participate in training sessions with our
MLS and Reserve teams. If there is any way we can assist you as you identify top
players to bring to Utah for the summer, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Congratulations on the launch of the team. We look forward to working with you in
2006 and beyond.
